Wayne Branum
Wayne Branum received his BFA from the University of Minnesota in 1971, and is a practicing architect as well as shares a clay studio in Roberts, WI with Mark Pharis. He has been published in Studio Potter, Ceramics Monthly, and Crafts Connection and has been a National Endowment for the Arts Fellow. Wayne was a classmate of Sandy Simon, Mark Pharis, Randy Johnston, George Beers, and others at the University of Minnesota in the late sixties under Warren Mackenzie and Curtis Hoard. Wayne, to his credits, has had a vibrant career as an architect alongside his talented potting. Some of his forms represent house shapes while others sensationalize food presentation. Wayne enjoys travel, golf and boating on the St. Croix River near his home in Wisconsin.
