Kari Radasch is a native Mainer, potter and tile maker living in Portland Maine. Kari is married to ceramicist, Ian Anderson, and they have two young children. Juggling motherhood and pottery making Kari says she would happily pay $10.00 for 10 minutes of babysitting! Kari received her BFA from the Maine College of Art and her MFA from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Kari aims to make celebratory pottery using earthenware clay and color as a metaphor for joy. She keenly takes observations from her life and imagines and assembles them as drawings onto her functional dishes. This format has the unique ability to hold a warm, sentimental place in your life through use. She has taught workshops and lectured across the country and loves to share her excitement for clay with her students.
