Maggie Finlayson-Jaszczak

Maggie is a mixed media artist originally from Ontario, Canada. After completing her undergraduate studies at Kootenay School of the Arts in Nelson, BC and Alberta College of Art + Design in Calgary, AB, she received her MFA in Ceramics from the University of Minnesota in 2013. Maggie is a studio potter and mixed media  She has taught classes and workshops in Canada and the U.S. and participated in ceramic residency programs at the New Taipei Ceramics Museum in New Taipei City, Taiwan, the Archie Bray Foundation in Helena, MT, Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO, and Medalta Potteries in Medicine Hat, AB. Maggie works in low fire clay using slips and stencils to create a somber soft finish on her pots. Maggie and her husband, Tom Jaszczak currently reside in the Minnesota countryside with their young son, Hamish, near Taylors Falls, Minnesota.
