Candice received her MFA degree from the University of Minnesota in 2015. Her subsequent career path led her to a tech job and the U of MN and an instructor at the Minneapolis Community College in 2019. She was a short term resident at the Archie Bray Center in Helena, MT in 2017. Candice finds inspiration where the art of indigenous cultures intersect with agriculture and architecture. This activity permeates ceramic art and finds its way to endless self expression. These objects offer nourishment to the maker as well as the user. This nourishment comes in many forms; utility, labor, vulnerability, connectedness, and even desire. The vessels I create document my intent as a connector to this life , both past and present.
